Body-Weighted Exercises is More Effective For Fat Loss East Bay

I get asked a lot of questions about weight & fat loss all the time. The questions I usually get are:

  • What’s the quickest way to lose weight?
  • Is cardio training more effective than weight training for fat loss?
  • Will I put on weight if I lift weights?

The truth of the matter is that there is no quick fix to weight loss or fat loss. You must be willing to put in the hard work and be consistent with your nutrition.

Cardio is a great to strengthen your heart and burn calories. Although 60-90 minutes after cardio training, your body stops burning calories. The only way to increase your metabolism and burn fat while you sleep is to increase your lean muscle mass with resistance training.

resistance training

Have you ever been sore for 3-4 days when starting a workout program? This is good because it is taking your body an average of 72 hours for your body to repair itself. During this time your body is expending a ton of energy which is an increase in metabolism. In the beginning, you may have a slight increase in weight when starting a weight training program, but muscle weighs more than fat and eventually that extra muscle mass will burn the extra body fat away.

Perhaps the best way to incorporate cardio and resistance training without spending hours in the gym is body-weighted exercises.

When you incorporate the two exercises together you are basically killing two birds with one stone.
