Ever wanted to cheat on your diet east bay? Well I don't and the reason why is because it makes my feel crappy. Below is a video I filmed this weekend in my kitchen explaining why I don't cheat and why you shouldn't make excuses too.

Hey, I bet you think you busted me but you didn’t. I was actually in here, looking for my chicken tenders. So, today’s theme is going to be me telling you guys about “cheats”. So, people ask me all the time, do you ever cheat and I don’t and there’s a reason for that. Mainly because of my condition which almost all of you guys know about. But another reason is because I work very hard on my workouts but I don’t want to work any harder than I have to. And, I don’t want to feel sick. So I’m gonna give a perfect example, one of my clients, and I’m not gonna say he, she who it was. But basically they had an appointment with me on Friday and they called me early enough as they always do, really early in the morning to let me know that they felt  absolutely beyond sick and they weren’t able to make it in.

And then, truth be told, later on in the day I find out that that person had a cheat on Thursday night. Um, technically it was their day to have a cheat but, because it was on a resistance training day and they had gone the whole, entire week without cheating, actually went more than a week and they had it that night because they were going out to dinner  with their significant other.  Um, but, basically what happened was, this person was so beyond ill, in the bathroom all night and all morning, pretty much all day until I spoke to them later on finding out that that was the reason they were unable to make it in to the session. And that is why. And, the reason why my program is all about eating healthy and why my philosophies for you guys, whether you’re in the program or me just educating you guys on food and everything is about eating as clean as possible. Um, and that’s your body’s way, you’re detoxing your body by eating very clean and good balance and all that other stuff.  You guys have seen my video on sweat my meal plan and then you go ahead and you have a cheat, and that’s your body’s way of telling you, “oh my god you did so good for all that time, now you put garbage in your body and your body is telling you it’s garbage so it’s getting rid of it. And it’s giving you a stomach ache and all those things. So I don’t want to feel that way.  And then, that person couldn’t come in and work out with me the next day. If that was me I’d be just as sick, probably because I eat so good all the other times during the day and then I’d feel so horrible that I wouldn’t be able to work out the next day and then I’d feel like I need to work harder two days after that so, I don’t want all that.

So this is just a little tip on cheats and why I don’t have them and if I do it might just be a little bit more of something. Um, you know not necessarily even looked at as a cheat. You guys will laugh but it’s like, you know, I might have a big bowl of carrots or I might have, you know like, a big huge serving of sashimi, more protein than usual, like, that’s my treats. Um but, and that’s it. I mean, again, I work out very hard but I don’t want to work out any harder than I have to and I don’t want to feel sick. So to eliminate feeling sick, I don’t waste any…because basically that cheat is just gonna be five minutes that you take to inhale the food anyway to eat that  cheat and then you always feel like garbage after. There’s no person that can honestly tell me, “I feel like a million bucks after I’ve had a cheat”. No body. If you can, message me, school me on what you ate and how you felt like a million bucks.

So um, just take this as a little tip in reference to cheats, the quality of life. Make memories, you don’t have to make extra calories, um, enjoy your workouts. Again, it’s when you get to your goal and it’s just about maintaining it’s still hard work but don’t make it any harder on yourself. So um I hope you guys like this one and I look forward to many, many more.

That was a very insightful video guys,I have been slippin, and dang it all if i dont feel like i just got caught with my hand in the cookie jar. Time for me to get my eating habits back on track. Thank you guys for caring enough to slap my hand and get me back in the game. Your friend Rob

Hi Jenn and Christian thank you for that. Upon sending that last message i had gone from 198 up to 215.Since sending that message i have dropped back down to 207 after weighing in at my Docters office today. I lost sight of my healthy goals due to many stress full things happening in my life. I began over eating again and not sleeping decent hours. I will not give up on wanting to live healthier and keeping myself physically fit. Thank you guys for not giving up on me. Wishing you the best day possible. Rob

Wow great video! This is really my weak area, so to know a lil more about it was insightful. I didn't know it was like a detox!! I'm getting on it more and more..thanks guys!!
