Hey Jenn - Thanks for the info.., perfect timing. I've never eaten at a Subway and stopped in there the other day for a sandwich. I was running around doing errands, and thought I could pick up a "healthy" tuna sandwich. I was STUNNED to learn the 6" tuna had 830 grams of sodium!! Per your suggestion, I have recently started eating the low sodium tuna, which is only 60 grams of sodium,... I couldn't bring myself to ordering the tuna sandwich. The option with the lowest sodium under the "lowfat 6 inch subs" was the oven roasted chicken which had 640 grams of sodium, which is still really high. The chicken salad had almost 300 grams of sodium (that was w/out the dressing). I ended up not placing an order b/c I thought Christian would KILL ME when he saw my sodium # for the day. My question for you is the following, when I eat a sandwich, I typically eat it open faced (I don't eat the top portion of the bread/roll), so if I was to do that, plus have them take out the inner dough, how much do you think that would bring down the sodium number? Also.. just veggies correct, no pickles? Lastly, should I drink more water during the day b/c of the high sodium content? Thanks, as always, for your help!!! TB :o)
