Eat Healthy & Control Your Portions When You Eat Out East Bay

On Friday nights after along week of training clients, we go out as a family for dinner. Every Friday night we pick a local east bay restaurant to go to. On this particular night we decided to go to Ground Round in Hilltop.
Ground Round is a sports bar restaurant that serves your basic bar food. Their menu varies from burgers to fish filets.
In this video we show you how to order your food and what you should get if you are on a weight loss plan. We also show you how to control your serving size.

One of the main problems most people encounter when going out to eat is not knowing what to eat. If you tell the waiter how you want to modify your meal, you can. There is no excuse not to eat healthy when your out at any restaurant.
Here's what you should tell your waiter when ordering your food:
- Do not add any barbecue sauce (too much sugar-->turns to fat)
- Hold the mashed potatoes, substitute it for vegetables
- Immediately ask for a to-go box and put half your meal in the box to eat later.
*When you split your meal in half in a to-go box you are controlling the amount of calories your taking in for that meal. We tend to over eat out at restaurants because the serving size is too much. Eat half your meal at the restaurant and the other half later at home.
I hope you enjoyed this video, please leave your comments and questions at the bottom of the video.
