Corporate Gyms are like East Bay Car Dealerships

Have you ever tried to join a gym and felt like you were actually inside of an East Bay car dealership instead? Going to a corporate gym can make you feel like you are trying to buy a car instead of trying to simply sign up for a gym membership.
Salespeople seem to crawl out of the woodwork the moment you step foot through the door, rushing you with overzealous greetings and questions. Signing up for a gym membership should not be like buying a car. It should be a simple, stress-free, no pressure transaction, with your health being the primary goal.
If you have specific fitness and weight loss goals, you want an East Bay fitness trainer that knows what they are doing, not some used car dealership salesman who provides cookie-cutter advice. Every person is different, with different needs, both dietary and fitness-wise, so the typical, generalized fitness and diet plans most East Bay gyms offer won't necessarily work for everyone.
Like most East Bay car salesman, most corporate gym fitness trainers are not required to be nationally certified. Anyone with a pulse and extroverted personality can get a job as a car salesman, because the car dealership's ultimate goal is sales and revenue. It is pretty much the same way with corporate gym fitness trainers. Oftentimes, they look the part of a fitness trainer, but do not possess the extensive knowledge required to safely get you the weight loss and fitness goals you are looking for.
Think about this, East Bay: Would you feel more comfortable taking your Honda to a Honda dealership to have repairs done, or would you rather take it to Average Joe's Automotive Repair just because it's cheaper? Chances are, you would take your Honda to the Honda dealership because they possess specific knowledge of your car and you know they would fix it right.
The same analogy could be used for east bay fitness trainers. Would you rather go to an expert fitness trainer who possesses national certification and ample experience in weight loss or some un-experienced fitness trainer whose only goal is the commission from your sale?
When it comes to your health, trust the professionals, just as you would trust your car with an expert East Bay mechanic. Not only will you be working with someone who knows what they are doing, but you will also know they have your best interests at heart and are not being pressured like car salesman to meet those sales goals.
